Museum lessons and crafts for kids: Dutch Still Life Painting

June 15, 2020 by adamuseum

While some public spaces are reopening, many of us are still looking for ways to entertain and teach our kids at home. The Education Outreach Interns at the Art, Design & Architecture Museum, UCSB, have designed five lessons and crafts that you can share with your aspiring artists and historians at home! The Broad: Curating Conversations

March 18, 2017 by adamuseum

Walk into any household in the world and you will most likely find collections of varying magnitude and category. Whether it be stamps, rubber ducks, sea shells or beer bottle tops, the human race has an innate tendency for collecting things. His works are mainly landmark, historical structures and developments through the1960s to 1980s. The AD&A Museum holds his archive. While the collection is not being exhibited this year, I believe it is worth being […]

November 20, 2014 by adamuseum

This fall quarter marks an exciting new addition to the History of Art & Architecture program at UC Santa Barbara, the start of a Museum Studies emphasis for undergraduate students. Students participate in various classes that stress the application of subject matter to museum practices.
